The walk begins
There's something very liberating about strapping on a pair of walking shoes, putting a pack on your back and hitting the trail for the day. To not have to worry about anything other than the path in front of you and putting one step in front of the other. While this blog will capture this quite literally, I'm hoping this philosophy will also apply to the rest of my life.
With less than a few months to go before I walk the western section of the Lake District on Wainwright's infamous 'Coast to Coast' walk, I've been trying to get my body up to a reasonable level of fitness to cope with hiking over hills for seven days. Being inertia personified, I've been easing myself into it with gradually longer walks around Perth...
